C'mon people! Our Swiss Choir's S.Y.F. is freakin TOMORROW!!! Here's a poem dedicated to how hard our seniors and we worked. We will always be proud of ourselves no matter what we will get tomorrow! SWISS CHOIR FOREVER!
My legs are about to fail
My lungs burned and ached
I feared to look back
My pursuers were catching up
I'm sure they were
Still I ran for my life
Though I have nothing left
To regret in this times
For my pride I couldn't
Shame myself by failing
My life was all that I had
I had to keep running
They were gaining up on me
Like a lion to a mere fawn
My own death I could foresee
But I couldn't let myself stop
My life was all that I had
I had to keep running
My sight blurred and misted
I was faint from exhaustion
Yet my legs cycled on
Ignoring my wasting mind
Struggling for much-needed air
My legs cycled on nonetheless
My life was all that I had
I had to keep running
No matter how tired we can get, we cannot stop and let ourselves, our mentors and everyone who believed in us down. Others are catching up to us, we need to work harder and harder still. This is our last time with our Sec 4 seniors, we have to do our very best. We are all that we have, we have to keep going. So, everyone, let's bring some glory home to Swiss Cottage, to Swiss Choir!
Sae out!
P.S.: And if you're wondering, yes, I did write this poem so close your mouth and face it, I'm a terrible poet.
That past vanishes in a blizzard of pink and white... 4:21 AM
